Boat Inspections

Boats to be used on Arvada Reservoir are required to pass a boat inspection.
Pre-season boat inspections are tentatively scheduled to be held at the City of Arvada Indiana Shops (64th and Indiana) on Saturday, March 20, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (date subject to change depending on public health guidelines). Physical distancing guidelines will require the reservoir patron to stay in their vehicle, while one of our reservoir rangers conducts the inspection. Please check back for updates.  Annual passes to the reservoir will be available for purchase during the pre-season boat inspection event. Credit card transactions preferred.

Arvada Reservoir Pass Purchases

New for the 2021 season, Arvada Reservoir passes are now available for purchase online! Annual passes may be purchased early for the season, daily passes must be purchased day-of for your visit between April 1 through October 31.

Be sure to save your confirmation email as your receipt of purchase.

Annual fishing permits for second or more vehicles or boats owned by the same person may be purchased at 50% of the cost, but must be purchased at the same time that the original permit is purchased.

Reservoir Details

  • The Reservoir is anticipated to open April 1.
  • Open Hours April 1-October 31: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • The Reservoir is located between Highway 93 and Indiana on W. 64th Parkway.
  • Download the Allowable Watercraft Document.
    • Paddle Boarding is NOT permitted on Arvada Reservoir.
  • Dogs are NOT allowed.
